Summer Incentives for Salty Sea Dogs and Crazy Horses

As summer draws to a close it’s a fantastic time to reward staff with summer away days. Treat September as a new start and thank your staff for a summer of hard work before looking ahead to the last quarter of the year.

Here at Eclipse Leisure we have taken to the great outdoors and became salty sea dogs for an afternoon, making the most of our Brighton location and spending an afternoon at the beach. Ever the active fun loving bunch we spent our time kayaking, paddle boarding, water skiing, and being pulled around in a giant rubber ring at great speeds by a motor boat. The exhilarating latter activity involved a lot of screaming on our Christmas product manager’s part!

If you are lucky enough to be situated near a beach or a lake, watersports are a fantastic way of bonding a team, motivating and rewarding staff.  The sea is at its warmest at this time of year so there is simply no excuse!  Make the most of the summer weather before it disappears for good and make sure you take a disposable waterproof camera to capture the moment your boss falls head first into the water!

Back on dry land...

A day out at the races is always a great incentive day out, particularly when the sun is shining and you’re winning!

So, dolled up in our best threads, we headed to the races for an afternoon of screaming, ahem, encouraging our backed horses to win.

It’s easy for novices to get involved and is a great way to bring people together in a fun and relaxed environment.  How about picking horses based on colleagues names – this happened to work extremely well for a group of us who won on the first race thanks to our I.T Manager!

After several dramatic races throughout the afternoon, it was time for a well earned drink in the racecourse’s event marquee where the Eclipse group continued to dance late into the night, celebrating with our winnings.

As summer is sadly coming to a close, it’s time to make the most of the last few remaining good days and host a summer away day or activity that will leave everyone feeling refreshed and energised, ready to take on the final quarter of the year.
