Team Extreme
Four members of the Office Christmas team are conquering their fears and challenging themselves to some of the most extreme conditions possible for charity.
Managing Director Alisdair Adam and Account Manager Billy Mauseth will be flying out to Tanzania to ascend Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Leaving late September the pair will climb for six days, hiking the varying terrain of the gigantic inactive volcanoes before finally pushing themselves to the summit where they will face tough conditions such as high altitude and loose rock underfoot.
...I am really excited about the challenge. I look forward to it with both eagerness and trepidation. I am fascinated to see how I fair under the tough conditions... Ali
Ali will also be undertaking a second challenge later in the year alongside colleagues Austin Mowat, and James Keeffe. The threesome will be experiencing the tough terrain of the Hampshire countryside in an event labelled ‘Hell on Earth’ as they embark on Hell Runner down South. The challenge includes running 12 miles cross country, from running tracks and trails to water-filled areas and plenty of steep hills.
" I am really excited to be raising money for a very worthy charity that needs our support. I am looking forward to getting down and dirty on the run!" Austin
"I'm looking forward to a re-match with Ali, after he recently beat me in a triathlon!" James
The group will be challenging themselves in aid of charity CRY – Cardiac Risk in the Young which raises awareness of conditions that can lead to Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD); Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS, SADS). If you would like to donate please visit http//www.justgiving.com/officeevents
