Description

Guests enter the Brideshead Library to discover a gorgeous, cosy yet funky take on a traditional library. The bar is transformed into a brightly coloured book case, with orange, purple, neon and green books piled high behind the stunning leatherette bar.  Our Flapper girl singer will entertain with some smart Jazz hits as Kir Royale is served.

Relax on the brightly coloured Chesterfield sofas and stand around the fun clusters of tall standard lamps.  A roaring fire with traditional stone hearth will provide an amazing centrepiece flanked with bright woollen stockings, candles and gilded ornaments.

At the close of the reception, the Butler will make a great show of striking a large golden gong to announce dinner and a gold reveal curtain will create a high impact reveal of the sumptuous Brideshead Ballroom, where guests will dine. 

Throughout dinner, wine and water is free flowing and unlimited drinks are served throughout the night.  After dinner guests can dance the night away on our chequerboard dance-floor with fabulous lighting.

For those who prefer to relax and chat, the Library reopens as a chill out and games room. Guests can enjoy a full bar of unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks, spirits and mixers and enjoy a range of additional entertainment that you may wish to add.

At 9pm our taxi marshall begins to take bookings and at the end of the night they are on hand to secure a safe licensed taxi home for all your guests.

Venue Description

The Truman Galleries is a stunning warehouse, once used as a traditional bottle store and now refurbished to provide over 20,000 square feet of white painted, gallery style space.

Luxurious cushions in brocade and coloured tartan, velvet cube stools and occasional furniture such as ornamental tables will decorate the Library and richly lacquered chests will provide places for drinks.

A roaring fire with traditional stone hearth will provide an amazing centrepiece flanked with bright woollen stockings, candles and gilded ornaments. Above the fireplace, a gilt frame portrait of the Duchess of Devonshire in funky colours adds a twist to the traditional style.  Large family portraits with gold ornate frames, will line the walls and a huge Edwardian Christmas tree will add wow factor.

The décor in the dining ballroom is inspired by High Tea in a stately home: beautifully elegant and richly coloured. A central stage with a dramatically ornate silhouetted chandelier as a backdrop will create a focal point to the room.

Large gilt mirrors will line the walls and a stunning black starcloth ceiling will sparkle above guests heads as they dine. The tablecloths will be jade and gold brocade and the table centres will add lots of impact at different heights: candelabra, with candles entwined with ivy, beautifully decorated cake stands with cupcakes of flowers, vases overflowing with flowers and gilded fruit.

Situated just off Spitalfields market and a five minute walk from Liverpool street, the venue is a stunning gem perfect for those looking to visit London's newest event space.
