For the NEC Christmas party in Birmingham, we present ‘ASPEN Rocks!’. The NEC will be transformed into a spectacular snowy alpine village with a bustling double-storey ski lodge, log cabin bars and frosted pine trees, featuring a professional cast of aerial performers and dancers for ASPEN Rocks! 2022.

As you enter the venue, a forest of lightly snowed fir trees line the entrance, lit in crisp whites and ice blues. Beams of light dance around catching intriguing forest imps and titled birds of flight as they welcome you into the magical landscape.

As you begin to make your way through to the main bar area where friends and family wait, the tempo of the evening begins to change pace as the night starts to show its real character. The bars exude endless, fast-moving energy which adds to the electric atmosphere. You recognise upbeat tomes of well-known classics and funky beats of modern party tunes as carefree conversation buzzes around the venue.

Scents of roasted chestnuts and log fires fill the air while up-beat, feel good music encapsulates the mood as you gather for pre-dinner drinks… Rustic log cabin bars serve specialities; pale lagers and glühwein mulled wine, while intriguing flavours of ice-cold schnapps are sampled by the more daring! The cocktail bar is as busy as ever as professional mixologists mix and mingle iconic drinks, while the main Alpine bars offer traditional beers, spirits, crisp wines and delicious canapés are offered around the room for you to sample.

As you take your seats for dinner, the focus moves to the main stage as the evening’s entertainment gathers pace again.

Hand-picked world-class circus entertainers perform the impossible with poise and grace to a backdrop of fire flames and mesmerising lighting. As you enjoy a tasty festive dinner and relax amongst friends and colleagues, conversation is plentiful and fine wines flows!

As the last spoonful of dessert is devoured, the lights cut to an explosion of light and sound that marks the beginning of dazzling finale. As the epic stage show comes to a climatic end, the power passes to the DJ and the dance floor passes to you! An uplifting bend of classic party tunes and modern day hits instantly lures you onto the floor to begin dancing the night away.

Elsewhere in the building a raft of after dinner entertainment has appeared to take your party experience into the early hours. Casino tables open and the indoor fairground rides begin to wiz and whir. While some take coffee and chocolates in a quieter area, the dance floor beckons for those disco bunnies with boundless energy and whose night is still young! And don’t forget to sample a midnight breakfast roll!

As the evening draws to an unwelcome end, memories of a fun filled night remain as you reflect on a truly spectacular party!

As well as offering mixed parties for groups of 8 and upwards, The NEC is available for exclusive hire. During December the venue has a high specification of lighting, sound, staging and theming installed offering great cost savings.

Private parties at the NEC Birmingham benefits from a substantial installation of lighting, sound and general production as standard.

You can be confident when you book, you’ll be working with industry experts from start to finish. We work with the very best production and lighting companies, set designers and choreographers to produce a range of Christmas parties now recognised as the very best in the region.

We recognise when holding an exclusive event that there may be different technical technical requirements so as standard we feature a high specification of production and technical equipment including; substantial installation of lighting – both generic and moving heads, raised areas perfect for speeches, broadcast quality sound system.

We have a number of other items that can be added to the event at an additional cost including; lecterns, video screens, projectors, technical support and radio& lapel microphones.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the venue have disabled access?

This venue is accessible to wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Should any of your guests have such please do call us so we can do our best to ensure their requirements are looked after during the event.
Please note that some of our venues have a raised dance floor, which are only accessible steps.

What are all-inclusive party nights?

Some of our shared party nights are all-inclusive party nights including beer, cider, bitter, house wine, alcopops and soft drinks all evening. You cannot upgrade this package.

It excludes spirits, cocktails, prosecco, champagne, fairground rides/attractions and fun casino which can be purchased separately on the evening.

We operate a strict responsible drinking policy to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all of our guests.

What is the dress code?

We have a dress code of Smart Dress and as such do not allow guests to wear jeans or trainers to our events.

Can I confirm my group size later?

Subject to availability, you can add extra guests to your booking up to 4 weeks prior to your event. Please note, availability changes constantly and tickets are on a first come, first served basis. If you wish to reduce the number of people in your party, any monies already paid are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

What is the minimum number of guests that I can book for?

The minimum booking is for 10 guests. We seat each booking at their own private tables, and do not mix booking across shared tables.

How and when do I pay for my party?

The initial deposit is due to confirm your booking.
The rest of the balance for your booking is due no later than 8 weeks before the date of the party.
The booking can be paid over the phone on 0203 9676967 with a debit or credit card or you can make an enquiry and pay through your online account. If you would like to pay by bank transfer please request an invoice.

What size are the tables?

We have a variety of different sized tables and we will allocate your group the best suited tables for your final group size. These will of course be placed next to each other in the dining area.

Dietary requirements

We have designed delicious menus alongside our main menu for those guests who are vegetarian, vegan or have an allergy to dairy, gluten or nuts.
We can also cater for Halal meals - if they are pre-ordered.
Please note that these alternative menus are set and must be ordered in advance of the party, you will the receive the full chosen menu. We unfortunately cannot mix and match courses from each menu.
Please note that we are not unable to provide Kosher meals, however, you are welcome to arrange for us to receive a Kosher Meal on the day of your party and we will cook this in our ovens and serve (still in the tray) to your guests at their tables. There is no additional charge for this service; however neither does the guest receive any discount for not having one of our own meals.

What is your Covid-19 Policy?

This supplier will follow guidance given by the Government in terms of all Covid-19 restrictions.
If government restrictions prevent our Christmas Parties from proceeding you will be able to transfer your booking to a future date or alternatively receive a full refund.

Is there an age limit?

In line with our licence, we are afraid our parties can only be attended by guests who are over 18 years old.

How do I pre-order drinks?

We have several drinks packages available, please ask for more information.
In addition to drinks packages, you can also pre-order wine and water by the bottle.
You can add drinks to your party up to 4 weeks prior to your party date.

Bar Tabs

Please note that we cannot run bar tabs at any of our events, however should you wish to provide some drinks for your group you can pre-order drinks packages or wine by the bottle.

Do the bars take cash and cards?

Our bars accept card payments, pre-paid wristbands, and pre-paid tokens as form of payments. They do not accept cash.
There is an additional bar for your use if you have wristbands or tokens and the time spent at the bar is greatly reduced due to using this pre-paid payment methods.
Unfortunately we cannot accept Amex payments

Is there a table plan?

When you enter the venue you will see several table plans displayed around the bar area, which detail which tables have been allocated to your group.
We do not set out seating plans or names within groups, however should you wish to compile your own you are welcome to pop name places etc on your tables when the doors open on the night of your party.

Do you carry out any checks upon arrival?

On arrival, we carry out ticket and ID checks and random bag searches are carried out by our security team. Please have your ticket ready.

Can I dress up to match the theme?

You can of course get into the spirit of the party, as long as your outfit fits within our smart dress code.
