Brighton promises an abundance of charm, charisma and colour. It's a compact city with both a lively and cosmopolitan nature combined with heaps of heritage, history, arts and culture. A few fun facts for you; back when ABBA won Eurovision in 1974, the iconic song contest was actually held at Brighton Dome! Brighton also features the world's oldest aquarium and has had some pretty famous public figures visit and live in the city including Adele, Sir Paul McCartney and Cate Blanchett! At Christmas the city transforms from a summer holiday destination to a festive wonderland. The streets are lined with bright lights and there's something wondrous about seeing the pebbles coated with frost. Here are some of our favourite things to do in Brighton at Christmas:
Throughout December and January you can skate around a festive 800 square metre ice rink with the Royal Pavilion as a beautiful backdrop. For those of you that need a break or want to watch as skaters pass you by, a cosy rinkside cafe is available for food and warm winter drinks.

Hundreds of locals take to the seafront's promenade dressed in their finest Santa costume to run in aid of their own charitable causes. It makes for a great photo opportunity and is a fun and amusing way to spread a good bit of Brighton Christmas cheer!
